  • language and version of the browser software.

6.3 Cookies and privacy settings

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. When you first visit our website, a dialog (“Privacy settings”) asks which categories you allow: Essential, Statistics, External media and External content. Apart from essential functions, nothing is loaded until you have consented.

We set the following cookie regardless of your consent because it is technically necessary to store your choice: hohner_consent (storage period 6 months; content: your choice per category). The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR in conjunction with Section 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG. For all other cookies and services (sections 6.4 to 6.8) the legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR in conjunction with Section 25 (1) TDDDG). We do not set session cookies for visitors.

Withdrawal and changes: You can withdraw or change your consent at any time with effect for the future by reopening the dialog – via the button below or the “Privacy settings” link in the footer. The lawfulness of processing carried out until withdrawal remains unaffected. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings; in that case not all functions of the website may be available.

6.4 Google Analytics 4 (category “Statistics”)

With your consent we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies that allow an analysis of how the website is used (e.g. pages visited, time spent, approximate location, device type). IP addresses are anonymised on this website. The data collected may be transferred to Google servers, including in the USA. The transfer to the USA is based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, in which Google participates, and additionally on standard contractual clauses.

The purpose is to analyse and improve our online offering. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR in conjunction with Section 25 (1) TDDDG), which you can withdraw at any time via the privacy settings (see 6.3). Tracking only starts after you have consented; a separate browser add-on opt-out is not necessary. Further information: Google’s privacy policy, https://policies.google.com/privacy; Google Analytics terms: https://marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/terms/us/.

6.5 Maps – OpenStreetMap (category “External content”)

For the dealer map and the location map we use map data from OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John’s Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge CB4 0WS, United Kingdom). The map is only loaded once you have consented to the category “External content” or clicked “Load map”. In doing so your IP address and information about the map section are transmitted to OpenStreetMap’s servers. We no longer use Google Maps. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR in conjunction with Section 25 (1) TDDDG). The United Kingdom has an adequacy decision of the European Commission. Further information: https://wiki.osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy.

6.6 Fonts

The fonts used on this website are delivered from our own server. No connection to Google or other providers’ servers is established and no data is transmitted to them.

6.7 YouTube (category “External media”)

We have embedded YouTube videos. They are only loaded once you have consented to the category “External media” or clicked the video’s preview image, using the extended privacy domain youtube-nocookie.com of Google Ireland Limited. Only then does YouTube receive the information that you have visited the respective page, as well as your IP address and the browser data mentioned in 6.2. This happens regardless of whether you are logged in to Google; if you are, Google may assign the use to your account. If you do not want this, please log out before playing the video. Google also processes data in the USA (basis: EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework). The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR in conjunction with Section 25 (1) TDDDG). Further information: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

6.8 Leadinfo (category “Statistics”)

With your consent we use the lead generation service of Leadinfo B.V., Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Leadinfo recognises visits by companies to our website based on IP addresses and shows us publicly available information such as company names or addresses. In addition, Leadinfo sets two first-party cookies to evaluate user behaviour on our website and processes domains from form entries (e.g. “leadinfo.com”) in order to match IP addresses with companies. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR in conjunction with Section 25 (1) TDDDG), which you can withdraw at any time via the privacy settings (see 6.3). Further information: www.leadinfo.com; opt-out: www.leadinfo.com/en/opt-out.

6.9 Contact forms, brochure and download requests

If you use one of our forms, the data you enter (depending on the form e.g. company, name, position, address, e-mail, message, attachment) is sent to us by e-mail and used to process your request; it is not stored in the website itself. To prevent abuse we count submissions per connection for a maximum of one hour, using the IP address only in encrypted form (hash). The legal bases are Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. b GDPR (contract/pre-contractual measures) and lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in processing enquiries). An optional consent to product information in the form is based on Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR and can be withdrawn at any time.
